Wed trg

Hi guys,

My first time blogging so please forgive if I flout any netizen's law. =)

We introduced more advanced movements today and it is interesting to see the lines trying to work out new movements today.

Certain basics will never change:
1) Pass away from the opposition defender
2) Use your side vision to help pick out players
3) Even better if you can be aware of your team mates BEFORE you recieve the pass
4) Weigh your pass, be ready to recieve the pass
5) Be ready to shoot. Shoot when you have a chance

I am very happy with today's trg as the game with nemesis was quite even. A few ways to improve your game is to be confident on the ball so we work on several ball holding methods today and feel free to beat the opposing defender with a dribble or shot.

Another thing that we must take note is to play shifts with 100% effort so that we are gg for quality and not quantity. For e.g. Line 3 started to play shorter BUT effective shifts. You do not have to wait for the coach to get you to change. Change if you have put in your 100%!

There are several things that I want all players to work on:
1) Ability to execute a variety of passes
2) Ability to control a variety of passes
3) Ability to make first time passes
4) Ability to take quick/first time shots

On a separate note, please feel free to use this blog (everyone, not just Saints) to gossip and talk cock. Dont just use it to write match debrief.

For e.g. rumours are rife that Kwan Aik has got a new gf?

Cheers,
HowChong
